The RODA is now in its final week on Kickstarter! With over $53,000 pledged by 480 backers, the RODA has shattered all our expectations. We wanted to thank our backers once again for all the support. We also wanted to share some exciting news about our manufacturing plan!
After talking to multiple machine shops around the world and quoting, negotiating, and prototyping, we've decided that the RODA will be manufactured right here in Chicago.
From the beginning we knew we wanted the RODA to be a high quality piece that would last a lifetime. The only way to guarantee that the quality of the final product is up to our standard is to have control over the manufacturing and assembly ourselves.
We can think of no better way of saying thank you to this amazing city that has been our company's home than by manufacturing right here.

The RODA has reached its second stretch goal! We are now at $31,000 and over 260 backers, with more than 2 weeks to go! Thanks to all our backers for making this possible!
With this stretch goal, we will upgrade every RODA to include gift packaging for free. The upgraded packaging will make the RODA a great gift and offer a great unboxing experience.
Here is an early prototype of what the packaging might look like. We'll send out another update once we finalize the packaging and the outer design. We are also planning to include some instructions in the box with all the different tricks the RODA can do.
Now that we've unlocked all our stretch goals with plenty of time left to go, we'd love to hear from you! What other stretch goals would you like to have added on? Any extra features, accessories, or options that you think would make your RODA even better!

UPDATE #2 - Colors Unlocked!

As of this weekend, the RODA has reached its first stretch goal! We're now at over $22,000 from 175 backers!
With the stretch goal now unlocked, we are offering every backer an optional $5 add-on to get their RODA in Red, Green, Blue, or Black. To make sure everyone keeps their original early bird discount, this will be done as an add-on at the end of the campaign. Once the campaign is finished, we'll send out surveys to collect information on addresses and color choice.
We're discussing the exact color options and will be sending some samples to our anodizing shop soon. We'll send an update with pictures on all the color options before the end of the campaign.

The RODA is now fully funded!
We're very excited and thankful to all of you for your support! Thank you for not only putting your confidence in us but also for sharing our project with your friends and family!
We're already setting up meetings with our manufacturers to get started on our tooling and assembly processes so we can hit the ground running as soon as the campaign ends!
Since the RODA is doing so well we wanted to remind you of our stretch goals:
$20,000: COLORS
We'll add the option for our backers to upgrade the aluminum base and housing to Red, Green, Blue, or Black.
$30,000: GIFT PACKAGING
We'll include upgraded packaging with every RODA that will make it a great gift option.
